CMJ 2011 – Preview

Yep, it’s time and here’s some bands that are playing this year’s CMJ that I have shot in the past. I’m sure that I have missed a few and I apologize. There’s no particular order because it took FOREVER for me to find these in my flickr account. I will start with my two favorites though, because, well, they are my favorites.

Highlights:
Drink Up Buttercup at Brooklyn Brewery and The Delancey (it was also really nice to have dinner with you on Friday).

How I Started CMJ ’09

When I turned on my laptop this morning, it was on battery power only even though it was plugged in. So, in my life’s true fashion, I started CMJ with a trip to Best Buy to purchase a new power cord – what a nightmare. However I did manage to take this photo with my blackberry while waitng for the F train and at least I picked up my badge before going to 2 Best Buys to get the correct cord.

Aaron Thomas is a good friend of two of my very favorite people. I met him on Thursday night down in the depths of the Mercury Lounge and so the next day headed out to The Annex for The Sounds of Spain showcase. Aaron was simply AMAZING!!! Thanks to Bill and Chris for letting me know about this.
