Actions speak louder than words.

I don’t really know how things in my like came to this. When did it become ok for a man to scream at me on the street (as well as cyber and physical stalking) or push my head back as far as it could go or jam his tongue, uninvited, into my mouth? By the way, these are all different men. I spend quite a lot of time around men and they are mostly just fine – respectful and friendly. Perhaps it has made me too relaxed because I never seen it coming. These are not the actions of friends and they are not because you are ‘rusty’ at affection – none of these are friendly or affectionate acts. They are abusive. So, I’d just like to say – keep you mean words, hands, etc. to yourselves.

Pallbearer, Tombs, Vattnet Viskar at St. Vitus 10/27/14

Just a few days after CMJ, I headed out to St. Vitus in Greeenpoint to shoot Pallbearer. I don’t normally shoot metal but after a horrid experience at an indie rock show with a photographer who verbally abused me for about 20 minutes I decided that I needed to be around people who treat each other decently. The crowd was pretty wonderful as were the bands.

DBA 24 hr. Drone Marathon

After CMJ, I walked over to DBA to catch some of the 24 hr. Drone Marathon. Excepter was on — which was kind of funny because I had shot them earlier that evening at Cameo. It was purely coincidental. I spent about half an hour at DBA and shot until my memory card ran out and the fog machine kicked in.
