This was my first SXSW. Barring the tragic events of Wednesday evening, it was something I wish I had done earlier in my shooting ‘career’ and hope to do again. Also, I had the best possible roommates in a strange situation involving an elevator key without which we could not get to our apartment – and there was only one key (and four of us). There were also only 2 beds which slept 3. Andrew was such a trooper. Thanks so much for not making me sleep on the floor.
Other highlights include dinner, drinks and a VIP event with my Kidrockers team – Morton and Beth – I really needed our evening together. Brunch with my roomies on Sunday and dinner with Nadia and Maria on Sunday (I never really ate a decent meal until sx was over). Taking the longest walk of my like with Amanda to meet up with the BTR team was worth it but I wouldn’t do it again if I knew in advance how far away they were.
Musical highlights – the Bridge shows with Perfect Pussy, Nothing, Ex-Cult, Radioactivity and Coachwhips. And – Destruction Unit at Red 7.
