Gallery: Bitch Magnet, Moss Icon

10/24/12 at Le Poisson Rouge. After shooting so much electronic music at CMJ, it was nice to shoot a real rock band – in this case – punk.

Jon Fine, the guitarist in Bitch Magnet, used to cover Media at BusinessWeek. When the magazine was being sold, he covered it and blogged about it on businessweek.com. All of us would flock there religiously to find out what was happening as our jobs were in jeopardy. When the opportunity to shoot Bitch Magnet, Jon’s band that has reunited (from the ’90’s), I felt that I needed to return a favor and cover a show. They were tremendous and I’m glad that I made that decision.

CMJ 2012 Wrap-Up

This was a really fun CMJ for me. Shot 59 bands (no repeats) — actually saw 60 but was too thirsty to get some shots of one…. So great to see so many friends — special shout out to my CMJ buddy, Amanda Hatfield – check out her photos on Brooklyn Vegan.

This was an amazing evening at Bowery Ballroom – one of the most chill crowds I’ve ever maneuvered through. So good to shoot next to the lovely and talented Ebru Yildiz as well

Shooting Swans from upstairs was a really good idea.

Kevin let me shoot from the stage door, which was hilarious because of all those monitors.

A Hawk and a Handsaw opened the evening. I loved them.
