I’m a bit weary of photographing my boys….so, I shot some video. It’s with a point and shoot but the results aren’t terrible…
And the boys were AMAZING as always!
Man In Gray played their final show Thursday night at The Delancey. They played until the club turned off the mikes and a spontaneous brawl broke out in the crowd. MiG will be missed 😦

Last night, as I was riding the subway home with my friend Dru, a woman with a cane boarded the train. A young man (I’d say between the ages of 25 and 35) quickly got up to offer the woman his seat. She proceeded to tell him off…that she did not ask for the seat etc. Another man that was with his young daughter tried to explain that the guy was simply getting up so that she could sit (she had a CANE people…). Her response to that was for him to mind his own business. I was amazed at her rudeness to what was a very gentlemanly gesture on the part of both of these men.
And then… someone else got up from their seat to get off the train and she walked around the man that got up for her (the seat he vacated was still unused) and took the OTHER open seat.
PELA sells out the Bowery Ballroom one more time. What can I say? I was darn proud of those boys. It never ceases to amaze me that they are better than the previous time – every time I see them.
They are off to finish their new record – I’ve heard some of the early recordings…it’s not to be missed.

The Big Sleep at Bowery Ballroom 6/6/08. They rocked my socks off – always an amazing band.

Caithlin DeMarrais formerly of Rainer Maria performed at Bowery Ballroom on 6/6/08. It was a quiet set – very intimate and quite wonderful. I loved her duet with Pascal Balthrop of “Let’s Dance”.
From her myspace page:
Caithlin De Marrais is very happy to perform with Josh Kaufman (Rocketship Park), Bob Hoffnar (Hem), Jason Lawrence, Konrad Meissner, Pascal Balthrop (Balthrop, Alabama), and Kyle Fischer.
She’ll be playing at Mercury Lounge on 8/27. Be sure to check her out!
